In 2007 The Higher Level, not-for-profit organization, added another Director of Programs. With a wealth of
educational and leadership experience, together we are hoping to elevate kids to the next level. On a trial basis,
a Literacy Workshop was developed, implemented and administered at Alain Locke Charter Academy, located at
3141 W. Jackson Blvd. in Chicago. The Literacy Workshop was operated as in-school reading tutoring program
for third grade students. Upon review, it became a sucess that we are looking to bring into the south suburb's of
Chicago.

Overview
The Higher Level was founded by A.P.M.C., Inc. Our not-for-profit organization will support today's youth through
the discipline of both mind and body, and through the wonderful game of basketball. The goal of The Higher Level
is for our youth to think on a higher level, play on a higher level and achieve on a higher level.
What's new?
The Higher Level has expanded its mission in 2011. Our expanded mission involves the renovation
of residential housing, such as single-family homes and multi-unit buildings, as well as commercial properties.
These properties are located throughout the Chicago land area and are typically in various stages of need and
neglect. Major banks will identify these properties and give us the opportunity to facilitate their redevelopment.
Our mission is community revitalization. The Higher Level will, therefore, be instrumental in eliminating
neighborhood eyesores and putting life back into the community by providing affordable housing.
A Little About What We Do
A community is a place to live, work and play. Our organization will create a unique and innovative facility that will
afford families the opportunity to enjoy activities at a place that will fill their hearts with pride.
